THE FA YOUTH CUP - THIRD ROUND

CITY OF LIVERPOOL 4 – 2 NORTH SHIELDS FC

Both the City of Liverpool and North Shields FC have been flying in the early rounds of the youth cup.

The two teams have trashed both of their previous two teams on the route to meeting each other in the third round.

The Purps have been at home for both round one and two and they’ve turned the Heron Eccles Football Hub into a fortress.

In the first round the Liverpool team faced Trafford FC where they were 5-0 victorious.

They then faced AFC Liverpool where once again they smashed five goals past the away keeper but however this time, they conceded three of their own with the game finishing 5-3.

The Robins have also been enjoying completely running over teams in the FA Youth Cup.

They went away to Carlisle City FC in the first round where they thumbed them 5-0.

In the second round they hosted Morpeth Town FC which saw another very convincing win which saw the home team progress to the third round after a 6-1 victory.

So, it’s came to no surprise that this third-round tie between these two goal scoring machines produced plenty of goals and action.

The City of Liverpool came out once again victorious beating the Robins 4-2.

The Purps once again showing their ability of finding the back of the net whilst make sure they’re not leaking too many goals at the opposite end of the pitch.

As for North Shields FC this was as far as they would go on this cup run.

A solid performance but sadly not good enough on the day. They join both Trafford FC and AFC Liverpool in getting knocked out of the FA Youth Cup at the Heron Eccles Football Hub.
