RESULT: 3-6
Chorley arrived late to Sam Smith’s Park but at the kick-off they were very quick off the mark. Scoring two goals in the first 10 minuets.
Chorley boss: “Expected a slow start” but the magpies clearly disagreed with their managers hypothesis. They scored another one making it three goals to nil before the host manage to get a goal back.
Chorley striker Callum Mchale surely was on cloud 9 after the game as he netted a hattrick. The other three goals from the visiting side came from the two wide men.
Newcastle can bow out of the competition not on a complete low as they defiantly didn’t make it easy for their guest as they scored three goals during the game. They didn’t go down without fighting.
Overall, a very soiled performance from the Magpies which sees them into the next round. Chorley manager was very pleased with the performance and said that: “hopefully we can keep going as long as possible”.
